Graphite braided packings TENSOGRAPH®

Unichimtek produces huge variety of graphite-based braided packings made of graphite yarns TENSOGRAPH®. Graphite yarns are manufactured with usage of different reinforcing materials such as: natural cotton, glass fibers, stainless steel, high temperature synthetic fibers and carbon fibers. This technology allows to use graphite-based packings in pressure range up to 50 MPa, temperatures up to 450oC and sliding speed up to 25 m/s – depending on style of packing. 

Due to its thermal and chemical resistance (most of mineral acids and solvents), self-lubrication and low coefficient of friction, anisotropy and remarkable thermal conductivity graphite packings TENSOGRAPH® offer perfect solution for high temperature and pressure applications securing long life of a shaft.

PTFE braided packings TENSOGRAPH®

Portfolio of PTFE-based braided packings TENSOGRAPH® comprises over 30 items. Unichimtek uses high quality expanded PTFE and expanded graphitised PTFE yarns which provides possibility to use braided packings TENSOGRAPH® in pressure range up to 40 MPa, temperatures up to 280oC and sliding speed up to 25 m/s – depending on style of packing. GoreTM yarns could be used for ultimate quality solutions.

Main advantages of PTFE-based packings  are remarkable chemical resistance (solvents, acids and alkalis, except for strong oxidants), toughness, high cross-sectional density, flexibility, low emission, pressure resistance and protection for shaft. PTFE packings TENSOGRAPH® are a problem solver for duties with chemically-active medias.

Aramid and carbon fibers braided packing TENSOGRAPH®

Braided of aramid or carbon fiber yarns packings TENSOGRAPH® are aimed for high demanding applications.

Series H5001 of braided packings TENSOGRAPH® are manufactured of texturised aramid yarns and are strong, high-performance packings mainly aimed for granular and abrasive medias which causes fast wear-out. Graphite, silicone and PTFE impregnations allow to achieve sliding velocity up to 15 m/s which gives in combination with maximal pressure up to 50 MPa and temperature up to +280oC a perfect solution for process and chemical industries.

Series H6500 of braided packings TENSOGRAPH® are manufactured of continuous carbon fiber yarns with optional impregnation. Carbon fiber packings of H6500 series are to be used in challenging applications due to its high temperature limit of 450oC and pressure limit of 40 MPa combined with great chemical resistance. Main application for H6500 packings are chemical, petrol, pulp and paper industries.

Combined braided packings TENSOGRAPH®

Portfolio of combined braided packings TENSOGRAPH® comprises wide range of high quality products which are aimed for demanding and extreme applications. 

Aramid yarns improve mechanical resistance, reduce gap extrusion, give opportunity to work with higher pressures and under simultaneous oscillating loads. 

Carbon fiber yarns make possible exploitation of packings under very high temperature and pressure and improves extrusion resistance.
