Graphite rings TENSOGRAPH®

Graphite rings are manufactured of TENSOGRAPH®  graphite foil and resistant to almost all organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, oils and solvents and will be a a perfect solution for sealing of valves and pumps under temperatures up to 560oC and pressure up to 8MPa.

Our rings have uniform density distribution, unique purity and high elasticity and no sulphur and ash particles.

Special anti-adhesive and anti-friction treatments might be applied to achieve desired characteristics of a customer.

According to a request, rings can be manufactured with any density in range between 1,4 – 1,8 g/cm3 any standard and custom size and of both standard and nuclear grades of graphite.

Rings might be equipped with metal caps or protective corners to avoid contact with aggressive medias.

Reinforced graphite rings TENSOGRAPH®

Unichimtek produces two types of reinforced graphite rings TENSOGRAPH®:

  • Type A is manufactured of TENSOGRAPH® S – unique Unichimtek’s ultra strong graphite foil reinforced with continuous carbon fibers. This technology allows to produce high-strength graphite rings which are aimed for exploitation in extreme conditions: pressure up to 50 MPa and temperature up to 560oC and at the same time being gentle. 

  • Type B is manufactured of TENSOGRAPH® – ultra pure graphite foil with inserts of stainless steel which is inside graphite and has no contact with metallic construction of shaft. Rings can be used under pressures up to 50 MPa and temperature up to 560oC.

Reinforced graphite rings are a perfect solution not only for extreme conditions but can also be used in worn-out stuffing boxes filling all imperfections.

To avoid contact with aggressive medias, rings might be equipped with metal caps. Special anti-adhesive and anti-friction treatments might be applied to achieve desired characteristics of a customer.

According to a request, rings can be manufactured with any density in range between 1,5 – 1,7 g/cm3 any standard or custom size.

Stuffing Box sets TENSOGRAPH® for valves

Stuffing Box sets TENSOGRAPH® for valves provide reliable solution in severe conditions of high temperatures and pressures. Depending on customers demand, Unichimtek has huge variety of options to complete the set:

  • Reinforced graphite rings with carbon fibers or steel insert (including ones protected with metal cap) which performs best as end rings in set

  • Pure graphite rings which are put in middle of set to improve sealing.

  • Braided packings made of pure graphite with carbon fiber and metal reinforcement, inconel, carbon fiber corners, with different types of impregnation which also serve as end rings in set.

Aimed for application under temperatures up to 560 – 600oC and pressures up to 50 MPa.

On customers demand, Unichimtek’s qualified design-engineers will determine the right combination of over 20 items of packings and graphite rings (including reinforced ones) to provide a secure sealing of valve.

Stuffing Box sets TENSOGRAPH® for pumps

Stuffing Box sets TENSOGRAPH® for pumps are aimed to provide reliable sealing at high sliding speed without deformation of shaft with wide pressure range and good thermal distribution. Depending on customers demand, Unichimtek has huge variety of options to complete the set:

  • Graphite rings which are ideal choice as intermediate rings of set to improve sealing and to provide thermal distribution while usage at high speed.

  • Braided packings made of pure PTFE with lubrication of PTFE/graphite,  with/without aramid corners, graphite-incorporated PTFE yarns and many other special options with different types of impregnation which performs best as end rings in set.

Aimed for application under temperatures up to 450oC and pressures up to 35 MPa (for piston pumps) or 3 MPa (for circulating pumps).

On customers demand, Unichimtek’s qualified engineers will determine the right combination of over 20 items of packings and graphite rings to provide a secure sealing of circulating and piston pumps pumps.

Unichimtek produces  variety of graphite-based braided packings made of graphite yarns TENSOGRAPH® which are characterized by high carbon content, low sulfur and chlorine content. Graphite yarns are manufactured with usage of different reinforcing materials such as: natural cotton, glass fibers, stainless steel, high temperature synthetic fibers and carbon fibers. 

Graphite braided packings TENSOGRAPH®

Unichimtek produces huge variety of graphite-based braided packings made of graphite yarns TENSOGRAPH®. Graphite yarns are manufactured with usage of different reinforcing materials such as: natural cotton, glass fibers, stainless steel, high temperature synthetic fibers and carbon fibers. This technology allows to use graphite-based packings in pressure range up to 50 MPa, temperatures up to 450oC and sliding speed up to 25 m/s – depending on style of packing. 

Due to its thermal and chemical resistance (most of mineral acids and solvents), self-lubrication and low coefficient of friction, anisotropy and remarkable thermal conductivity graphite packings TENSOGRAPH® offer perfect solution for high temperature and pressure applications securing long life of a shaft.

PTFE braided packings TENSOGRAPH®

Portfolio of PTFE-based braided packings TENSOGRAPH® comprises over 30 items. Unichimtek uses high quality expanded PTFE and expanded graphitised PTFE yarns which provides possibility to use braided packings TENSOGRAPH® in pressure range up to 40 MPa, temperatures up to 280oC and sliding speed up to 25 m/s – depending on style of packing. GoreTM yarns could be used for ultimate quality solutions.

Main advantages of PTFE-based packings  are remarkable chemical resistance (solvents, acids and alkalis, except for strong oxidants), toughness, high cross-sectional density, flexibility, low emission, pressure resistance and protection for shaft. PTFE packings TENSOGRAPH® are a problem solver for duties with chemically-active medias.

Aramid and carbon fibers braided packing TENSOGRAPH®

Braided of aramid or carbon fiber yarns packings TENSOGRAPH® are aimed for high demanding applications.

Series H5001 of braided packings TENSOGRAPH® are manufactured of texturised aramid yarns and are strong, high-performance packings mainly aimed for granular and abrasive medias which causes fast wear-out. Graphite, silicone and PTFE impregnations allow to achieve sliding velocity up to 15 m/s which gives in combination with maximal pressure up to 50 MPa and temperature up to +280oC a perfect solution for process and chemical industries.

Series H6500 of braided packings TENSOGRAPH® are manufactured of continuous carbon fiber yarns with optional impregnation. Carbon fiber packings of H6500 series are to be used in challenging applications due to its high temperature limit of 450oC and pressure limit of 40 MPa combined with great chemical resistance. Main application for H6500 packings are chemical, petrol, pulp and paper industries.

Combined braided packings TENSOGRAPH®

Portfolio of combined braided packings TENSOGRAPH® comprises wide range of high quality products which are aimed for demanding and extreme applications. 

Aramid yarns improve mechanical resistance, reduce gap extrusion, give opportunity to work with higher pressures and under simultaneous oscillating loads. 

Carbon fiber yarns make possible exploitation of packings under very high temperature and pressure and improves extrusion resistance.
