Graphite foil TENSOGRAPH®

Product portfolio of TENSOGRAPH® graphite foils is aimed to cover all range of requirements starting from basic industrial needs and up to demanding nuclear or high-temperature applications. Industial grades offer highly reliable and feasible solution whereas high spec grades are suitable for oxidizing, corrosive and high-temperature conditions as well as nuclear norms.

Production unit consists of:

• natural graphite purification (up to 99.9% on special request);
• 2 lines to produce oxidised graphite;
• 8 lines of special design to produce high purity foils.

Products  to be delivered in form of rolls, sheets and laminates with stainless steel inserts.

Special grades or forms are available upon request.

Reinforced graphite foil TENSOGRAPH® S

Produced by patented technology of Unichimtek ultra-­strong graphite foil with reinforcement of continuous carbon fibers. TENSOGRAPH® S has exceptional tensile strength which is more than 20 times higher than for standard grade graphite foils.

TENSOGRAPH® S allows to produce highly efficient and compression resistant die molded rings. These rings are to be used in extreme conditions such as high temperatures and pressures thanks to unique elastic response which allows to uniform distribution of tension.

Reliable performance of braided packings made of TENSOGRAPH® S makes possible it`s exploitation in extreme conditions which is a result of combination of excellent heat dissipation and anti-friction properties of expanded graphite and ultimate strength of carbon fibers.

Reinforced graphite sheets TENSOGRAPH®

Reinforced graphite sheets TENSOGRAPH® are manufactured of ultra–pure graphite foil TENSOGRAPH®  and high quality stainless steel AISI 316L of 0,05 and 0,1 mm thickness. Sheets are aimed for application in high temperatures: in air and oxidising conditions: 450oC (in reduced conditions 700oC) and under high pressure – up to 12 MPa. Recommended for steam, hydrocarbons and most of chemical compounds except strong oxidants. Due to high thermal and mechanical resistance sheets are a perfect solution for applications with drastic thermal changes.

Basic types of reinforced sheets include:

  • Perforated layer of AISI 316L – 0,1 mm
  • Plain layer of AISI 316L – 0,05 mm

Non-reinforced graphite sheets TENSOGRAPH®

Non-reinforced graphite sheets TENSOGRAPH® are manufactured with patented technology of Unichimtek which is characterised by low content of sulphur, chlorine and other halogens. Sheets are aimed for application in high temperatures: in air and oxidising conditions: 450oC (in reduced conditions up to 700oC) and under pressure up to 4 MPa. Recommended for steam, hydrocarbons and most of chemical compounds except strong oxidants. Sheets efficiently withstand temperature changes and most chemical medias.

Non-reinforced graphite sheets TENSOGRAPH® are best choice when complicated design or immediate reparation works are required as well as usage in sensitive flange materials.

Tapes for SWG and rings TENSOGRAPH®

Tapes made of TENSOGRAPH®  graphite foil are cut to any required size with high precision which makes it an excellent filler for production of quality spiral wound gaskets and graphite die-molded rings.

Due to special patented technology TENSOGRAPH®  tapes could be produced high strength which solves the problem of breaking-up of filler for SWG's and graphite rings production. Huge length of winding (up to 100m) makes possible longer continuous production and manufacturing of large diameter SWG’s. 

According to feedback of our customers usage of TENSOGRAPH® graphite tapes increases productivity of SWG departments up to 30%.

High precision of cutting and superior technical properties makes TENSOGRAPH®  graphite tapes an excellent choice for production of SWG's and graphite die-molded rings.

Sealing graphite tapes TENSOGRAPH®

Sealing graphite tapes are made of graphite foil TENSOGRAPH® and can be manufactured smooth and with sticky layer.

Graphite tapes TENSOGRAPH®  aimed to be used for sealing big or complicated shape flanges and sealing surfaces. Could be used as a soft sealing layer for flange gaskets (kammprofile or corrugated). Due to a precise corrugation and properties of graphite foil TENSOGRAPH®, these tapes can be easily bent to small diameter.

Tapes are supplied in a specially designed smart package which provides friendly usage and lack of material loss.
